New gas meter installation cost

Our property doesn't have a gas supply at all and we're thinking about getting one connected. How much does a new gas meter and supply installation typically cost in the UK?

"Hi, if you contact norther gas network they will come
Out and identity to closet supply to your property and give you a cost for aditinal supply.

If the pipework is close to your boundary you could be 750-1500 depending on works needed to acsess the pipework"

"Contact your local gas supplier.
It would depend on where the nearest gas supply runs to.
If it's a rural area, it might be the case that you'd need to use LPG instead, as a gas connection could take a lot of work and cost thousands to run to the property.
If it's a case of running from an adjacent property, it could still cost over a thousand including a meter and setup costs."
