Moving our wood burning stove to a new house

We're probably going to take our wood burning stove with us when we move. If we disconnect it, will a removal company take it?

"Yes. Once we have proof as a company that that home owner agreed to this, than we can find solutions in transporting your wood burning stove."

"I would definitely ask the company that sold you the wood burning stove or that installed your wood burning stove in your property.

I have one and I would certainly never try to remove it myself, so that I can move it to a new house, should I move home.

In any case they would also need to install it in my new house!

So... I suggest you contact the company you used or look for a company that sells wood burning stoves, or one that installs them.

"Most removal companies will handle transporting a wood-burning stove, but there are a few considerations to keep in mind:

Disconnection: Ensure the stove is properly disconnected. This usually involves not only detaching it from the chimney but also making sure it’s clean and safe for transport. It’s advisable to have a professional handle the disconnection to ensure safety and compliance with any local regulations
Preparation for Transport: The stove should be thoroughly cleaned to remove any ash or soot. This will make it safer and more pleasant for the movers to handle. Remove any loose parts and pack them separately to avoid damage."
