Moving a stud wall

I split a large bedroom into 2 with a stud wall about 3 years ago. However, I didn’t get the calculations correct and one of the bedrooms is very small. How much would it cost to move the wall half a metre? Many thanks.

"Dependant on size of stud wall and if, the studding can be part salvaged, the plasterboard will req to be new but again dependant on the finish you are looking for, approx £1250"

"Moving a stud wall 0.5 m involves removing part of the existing wall, adjusting flooring/ceiling, rerunning any wiring, and re-plastering. Costs vary but typically £300–£600, depending on size and finishes."

"Moving a stud wall by around 0.5 metres typically costs between £400 and £1,200, depending on what’s involved.
Wall size – longer walls = more labour/materials
Electrics – sockets, switches, or wiring need moving
Plastering/finishing – making good both sides
Flooring/ceiling repairs – patching where the wall was
Skirting & doors – refitting or adjusting"

"It will probably take about two realistically in labour, plus materials anywhere between £6-800"

"Hi.
Again it all depends on numerous things involved.
Example.
Are light switches there do they need to be moved, sockets etc.
Also you will have to consider patching up part or redoing floor where needed.
Skirting etc.
Around £1550"

"Good evening Denise
Part salvage the material best your builder can,,
Moving wall isn't a big issue for a competent Builder
I'd reckon that finishing time and Extra material would ruffly cost about £1250"

"Depending on finishes etc but somewhere in the region of £1000"

"Depending on the size it can vary also, though you could probably re use the CLS timber again, you would have to get rid of the rubbish (old plasterboard and plaster) and replace that.

If there is minimal patching up to do afterwards from where the stud wall once was, I'd assume on an average 3mish stud bedroom wall.. £500-£1000 heavily dependent on how the rubbish is being removed"
