Do most modern taps come with anti-limescale protection?

Limescale is calcium carbonate contained in hard water which solidifys on contact with air.
There are several products available but the most effective is elbow grease"

The simple answer is no, you can get water softners and filters, however be aware it is usually recommended that you keep 1 water supply free of treatment to use for drinkning water.
