Mixer tap leaking

Question

My kitchen mixer tap is leaking where it swivels. It's not very old, so it shouldn't be a washer. What else could it be?

It’s the seal where it swivels that has failed. If still in warranty contact supplier.

More than likely it is the washer, could have been damaged during manufacturing

it will be the o ring where spout joins tap, it could be  spout not pushed in far enough and grub screw  not tightened, it could be that the o ring is just defective.

It is an o ring at the base of the stem. Turn the stem fully ninety degrees and firmly pull upwards at same time the stem will come out and the o ring is there

Nothing else  just open screw on neck or sometime it’s alan key and exchange washer

Don’t waste your time if it’s under warranty take a picture and go back to supplier and get it replaced if not it’s probably a cheap nasty one unfortunately and needs replacing

It can only be the washer when washers go on mixer taps you need to replace the taps

If it’s leaking where it swivels it’ll be the o ring inside which has broken down. You can repair but often it isn’t worth it. I did mine three years ago but as someone has said already; sometimes easier and more economical to change them altogether.
