Metal corner beading showing through cement render

I've just had the render replaced on the front bay of my victorian house and the metal corner beading is still showing through, is the right? The builder is telling me it's ok but I'm not convinced. Would really appreciate some advice, thanks!

"Depending if it is sand and cement render. With sand and cement render the bead can either be on show or covered as you'll most likely paint over to cover the bead. Ideally it should be covered incase of rust."

"The stiff corner part of the bead is a guide to what the sand and cement goes up to .it will show untill it is painted .if it stick out 2 to 5 mill more than the render then they have not put on enough render ,butt if its just the edge of the bead as i said before then its ok .hope this helps"

"Hi there the only part of the render bead u should see is the straight edge.that defines your corners to make them straight. if u can see the mesh on the bead then it's not been filled out enough with the render ."
