Is it bad if the boiler sounds like a plane?

It’s started making this really loud whirring noise every time it kicks in. Is that dangerous or just annoying? Not sure if I should switch it off and call someone

Yes I would beek a engineer as this could be a fan issue

Could be the fan bearings on there way out. Older boilers can be serviced/oiled to prevent from failing. Newer will just fail and need replacing.

Hi, it's not likely to be immediately dangerous, but could be the fan, pump or gas valve. Best to get an Gas Engineer booked for a diagnostic appointment.

Might be a pump or a fan that’s worn. Or might be air/gas mixture fault. For your own safety you should have it checked by a gas safe engineer

Everything wants doing wrong with the boiler is not safety. I my opinion fan need to be changed.

Yes this could be a number of problems. Gas valve .fan .heat exchanger. 

I would get boiler looked at .

It sounds like there might be something there. It might be best to call someone jsut to give it a check. It might need a service or sounds like something on the waterside but without seeing the boiler i can not say.
