Is a building regulations application expensive for a basement conversion? How much might it cost?

"The cost is based on the cost of the conversion I as a builder based in Hereford use accent building control they are based in bath around the same cost as local authorities but more reliable

"The planning application to the council is usually about £250-£300 depending on the council you are applying to but you will need detail plans and drawings to submit so you need an architect first and they usually deal with your planning application as part of their service"

The only problem which may occur is finding a structural engineer to take the job on as 90% off them don't have the insurance due to on going problem in and around the city of London"
