Ask your QuestionHow well do double glazed windows insulate a room? Are they enough to significantly improve the insulation of a room or will I need to have more done? I am considering having double glazed windows installed either way but I’d like to know how helpful they can be when it comes to home insulation.
Asked by Abdul on 13th Aug 2020"Hi if you install C-RATED GLASS in your new frames they have LOW-E coated glass and come with ARGON GAS the heat retention is about 50%, however if you use A-RATED glass which is all we install you get LOW-E GLASS, ARGON FILLED UNITS, WARM EDGE SPACER BAR and LOW IRON GLASS and heat retention increases to about 89%. I hope this helps."
