Installing a flat pack wardrobe

How complex is it to arrange and install a packaged fitted wardrobe? As an average DIY’er, how long might it take me to complete this work?

"Flat Packs are not always easy to put together, wardrobes can generally require 2 people to install and require angle rules and adjustment tools to align correctly which is why professional tradesmen are asked to support customers with their assembly."

"It's not complex if you have the instructions with you and the right tools to carry out the work.
Notice the right tools: because without the right tools it will be complex and problematic.
It also depends on certain aspects of the wardrobe. Is it a big wardrobe, requiring a two person or is it a small one that can be handled by one person?

Overall it should take anywhere between 2-3 hours to complete, depending on the understanding of the instruction and or the level of experience."

"They are not too complex. You just have to follow the instructions. The big thing is to have a large area so you can put it together with it laying down."

"Flat packs can be difficult if you dive straight in. It is best to analyse what needs to be done first. Allocate adequate space, read instructions. Separate and select pieces that go together, don't rush or force fittings and connections, be patient. You can refer to YouTube as well."

"The whole thing should take a day or under, it is fairly simple and most come with instructions.
Just have a good read and look over the instructions before commencing any installation."

"There are average and complex installations of wardrobes, but both can be managed by an average DIY'er as long it pays attention to all the details of the assembly instructions and double checks. It can be assembled by one person too, but it's easier with two, as big wardrobes are heavy to lift or move around. Can take between 2 to 4 hours."

"Space is key, set out all parts, read the instructions, and take your time. Do not rush as flat pack can damage easily, give your self at least 5 hours"
