£700 million is allocated under the first round of assessment in November 2022, we will cancel the second round of assessment in January 2023. Similarly if the urban funding pot is fully allocated in November 2022, we will run a rural-only second round in January 2023. This information will be communicated to local authorities in December 2022 once funding is allocated from the first round of assessments. We therefore encourage you to apply to the first round if possible. This will also give you the opportunity to revise and resubmit your application if initially unsuccessful, and will give you several months of extra mobilisation time for your project.
