How to get rid of squirrels in roof

Pretty sure we’ve got squirrels running around in the loft. They’re up there every morning. What’s the best way to get them out and stop them coming back?

"Need to put caged trap in loft and when it's trapped look in loft for day light coming through and then proof the holes up, squirrels normally leave during day time and then fill holes , also if there's any trees next to your property then cut the branches which are by the building has they are using the branches to climb up into your loft hope this helps"

"They are in your loft because it is comfortable for them dark and quiet. Charge the environment and they will leave, once gone block all the entry points to prevent them returning. Use a bright light and make a lot of noise a radio or something in the loft will drive them out"

"It's important to know that it's illegal to catch and release grey squirrels, in the uk, neither can you poison them, therefore the only way is to call in a professional pest controller who will use specialised traps to kill them. Once this is done you will have to repair the entry point into the roof"

"Firstly identify that is actually a squirrel. The easiest way without the use of a trap camera is by looking at the droppings. Squirrels droppings tend to be round or more of a jelly bean shape and more scattered around the loft space.
For squirrel's use a cage trap baited with peanuts or a specifically designed killing trap in a tunnel. It is illegal to release a squirrel once caught so you will also need to think about dispatch if using a cage trap.
Once the squirrel/squirrels have been removed then you will have to proof the loft space to prevent further infestation. Also remove any vegetation growing up the property and overhanging branches that would allow easy access for the squirrels.
It may be best to employ the services of a professional pest controller in your area that can deal with your situation quickly and effectively."
