How much should I expect an architect to charge?

On average, how much should I expect an architect to charge me per hour/per day? What sort of factors may play a role in determining the labour price? And is there anything else I should consider regarding the price?

"In terms of Architectural costs, it depends on what you want. If you are building an extension you will need them to do drawings for building control. Architects will charge you for all the drawings rather than per hour/per day. So a lump sum, if you want it for a new build they may charge per stage, so for the conceptual stage, finalised conceptual drawing (plans, sections, elevations) then it goes to planning. After planning is accepted, it goes through the construction stage drawings and ect. So it really depends on what you want.

If you need you provide me with more info I can offer you a quote."
