How much does stove rope replacement cost?

The rope seal around the door of our log burner has frayed and the door no longer shuts tightly. Is this something a chimney sweep or stove fitter would repair and what should I expect to pay?

"Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, this isn't something I cover, as I only work on gas appliances and heating systems.

For a frayed rope seal on a log burner door, I'd recommend contacting a local chimney sweep or a stove/fireplace specialist, as they can replace the door seal and check that the stove is sealing and operating safely.

I hope you're able to get it sorted soon. Best of luck!"
