How much does boiler insurance cost?

What should I expect? But more importantly, is it even worth it? I've never owned a house before and I've had family recommend getting it, but I'm honestly not convinced

"It varies depending on the boiler type and age, if the warranty on the boiler as passed then i would advise shopping around for insurance as repairs could end up being very costly, also you have to consider the age of the appliance and are all parts still available? All the best"

"The cost will depend on the company and what packages they offer.
It would be best to compare the ones in your local area and check there terms and conditions to see exactly what you are paying cover for.
The alternative is not having it, pay as you go, then it will be the luck of the draw when the boiler decides to not work.
We definitely recommend having the boiler serviced annually to help maintain the boiler, get advise from the engineer on the service."
