How much deposit?

I will be supplying all the fixtures and fittings for a bathroom refurb. I know a deposit will be requested to secure the job but what percentage should this be considering that it is the labour I will be paying for.

"We as a business do stage payments.
25% to secure start date
25% once removal of old suite completed.
25% once tiling completed
25% on completion"

"Hi Teresa. Depends on size of the job
If it is over 5k we ask 10% deposit. If it is under 5k we don't ask for deposit.
Thanks Glen"

"I would suggest 25% to secure the job and then depending on size of work a stage payment system to be arranged with the tradesman."

"Hi Teresa. I cant speak for trade as a whole because everyone does things slightly differently. As an independent, I charge a standard £100 - £150 deposit to secure the work and start date. I then deduct the deposit from the overall cost of installation and divide by two. Half paid in the day we commence the work and the final half paid upon completion of work. Hope that helps."

"Hi there, if you are looking to secure a job like full bathroom refurb we would typically ask for 50% upfront and the rest on completion."

"You should.look at staged payments for hitting construction points ie

Full removal
1st fit
Tilling
2nd fit"

"Normally, you only needs to pay it at the completion if the work is not much. Otherwise, you can pay weekly."
