How long should it take to receive quotes?

If I were to hire bathroom specialists, how long should it take before I receive a quote? Would it be reasonable to expect it within 24 hours in most cases?

24 hours would be unrealistic, a working week is a normal rule, as parts and materials will need to be sourced, and then all put together in a quote and sent

I generally have the quote with the customer with 24 hours maximum, 9 times out of 10 within a couple of hour s

Depending on who is doing it, if is supply and fit it can take longer to source material but only fitting if you have material already couple of hours.

I would say up to a week. It’s so busy work wise they may have 5-6 quotes to do

It would be dependant on the works required,  my  quotes are within 7 days this is to allow time for suppliers to provide the cost of materials.

If they don't whoever doesn't send you, don't give the job, you can give the job to another company.
