How can I protect my pipework from freezing?

Hi there. I’m just wondering what I can do to protect my pipework from freezing over in the winter or around that time? What can be done, and can I do this DIY?

"You'd need to invest in lagging your pipes where possible, or some sort of insulation as this will prevent pipes from freezing over. It is crucial to have this if pipes are buried in or around concrete or externally."

"Simple and short answer : lagging , easy to fit Aswell. Also make sure you tap the ends or any bends as the cold temperature can get to the pipes."
