How can I fit a wash basin without showing the pipework?

Hi, how can I have a wash basin fitted but without any pipework on view? What could I do to achieve this? Is it suitable as a DIY job.

"The only easy way in terms of not chasing out the walls is a vanity unit and basin, it is possible for a DIY job but as a plumber, I always recommend hiring a plumber."
