Half brick conservatory cost

Is there much difference in price between a half-brick vs full glass conservatory? I like the idea of more solid walls down low, but I’m not sure if that pushes the cost up a lot?

"Hi Simon, a half brick construction would be more expensive, however a lot of the expense goes into the ground to create foundations and also the floor level, it also depends on wether there are any drains/man holes present, it is sometimes better to have a brick built room with a flat roof and then install a large pyramid shaped roof lantern on top as this would be more usable all year round,

I hope this helps,

Thanks Paul."

"Cost is similar go for the design you like .
I would recommend a dwarf wall 600 mm high and go full height with large 2 way sliding doors
And picture windows"

"Hi Good afternoon , hope your well

Its Jay from your local helpers that’s a great question, and it’s something many homeowners consider when choosing a conservatory design.

In terms of price, there usually isn’t a huge difference between a half-brick (dwarf wall) conservatory and a full glass design, but the half-brick option can sometimes cost slightly more because it involves additional brickwork and foundations.
That said, many people prefer the half-brick style because it offers a few practical advantages:

• Better insulation and temperature control
• More privacy compared to full glass
• Stronger structure and durability

• It often feels more like a natural extension of the house rather than a separate glass room

Full glass conservatories can sometimes be a little cheaper initially, but they can get hotter in summer and colder in winter, so the half-brick option is often a popular long-term choice.

If it helps, we’d be happy to take a look at the space and talk through the options with you so we can find a design that suits both your budget and the look you’re going for.

Kind regards,

Your Local Helpers"

"The cost will be more because of the groundwork and brickwork involved to support the new conservatory."
