"There is actually no difference between a combi boiler and a condensing boiler - they are essentially the same thing. All modern-day boilers incorporate condensing technology, so when you're choosing your next boiler you won't need to make a choice between a combi and condensing boiler. You'll get both!"

"Hi there,
The main difference between condensing boilers and combi boilers is – well, there isn’t one. They’re the same thing. Whether it’s a combi, system or regular boiler, the fact is all modern boilers are condensing boilers. Since 2005 in the UK legislation has banned the sale of all non-condensing boilers through the boiler plus scheme
So, essentially, they are the same thing, but there are some variations in types of boilers that are condensing.
Hope this helps"

"The term 'condensing' refers to the way any gas boiler produces heat - effectively it just means that they are more efficient. All boilers are condensing boilers now.
A combination boiler heats up the water as it goes through the boiler. As you turn a tap on it ignites and heats the water. No need for a cylinder. Again, these are all condensing now."

"No, All boiler types are condensing these days (since around 2005).
You have the following sub types:
A. Combi, gives hot heat and hot water from the same boiler
B. System, gives heat to the radiators but will have a separate hot water cylinder
C. Regular or Open vent. Similar to B but will have a header tank to feed the heating system and keep the water level topped up."

"Simply put no,
However most new combi boilers are condensing, but other types of boilers can be condensing aswell,
Condensing is simply a way that manufacturers have made their boilers more efficient by reusing some of Hot flue gas to preheat some of the water before if goes into the heat exchanger."
