Fitting an outdoor gas meter box
I have an new white box to go around my outside gas meter and I need someone to fit it as I believe the gas will need to be disconnected to do it.

"My advice would be to get a Gas safe registered engineer in to do the job. They will disconnect the gas meter and then reconnect it. This way you know your in safe hands as the gas meter once reconnected will be tested and purged. Hope that helps."

"Gas shouldn’t need to be disconnected. You should be able to cut around the box to make the box fit with a hacksaw."
