Fitting a bathroom sink on top of a cupboard

I've seen people on social media mounting sinks on old cupboards instead of using a vanity unit. I'd like to do the same but don't have the skills. Are there any bathroom specialists who do this type of fitting?

"Hi,
Yes this can be done with some due care
Taking into consideration the hot & cold pipework and waste to be connected inside cupboard.
The to surface should have a waterproof top especially if the basin is smaller than the cupboard top surface.
The to surface is rigid enough to accommodate the basin."

"Any reputable plumber would be able to do this for you. Just need to make sure that the wood has been waterproofed. No reason why it wouldn’t work. I’ve installed a stone sink on a railway sleeper. Railway sleepers have been treated. Good Luck"

"Here how to do it
Unscrew the top of the cabinet and remove it from the frame.
Remove Drawer & Unscrew Top of Dresser. ...
Reinforce Vanity Frame With Screws. ...
Remove Back of Bathroom Vanity. ...
Secure Sub-Top & Screw in Place. ...
Reattach Back of Vanity & Cut Holes for Pipes. ...
Attach Countertop to Bathroom Vanity With Adhesive. And yes can be done with no experience or by a professional"
