"The best would be LVT. However it is expensive.
Laminate is a cheaper option"

"Hi
Laminate flooring is the most ideal and familiy friendly, it's very hard wearing, easily cleaned when the kids spilll stuff on it, low maintenance and aesthetically pleasing."

"LVT for your busy areas kitchens bathrooms. Carpet for your bedrooms for warmth. But of course it’s a preference thing. Wood flooring with Osmo oils could look very nice and authentic. Depending on the decor and house setup."

"Hi Micheal, in my opinion you can’t go wrong with laminate. The laminate range has come soo far over the years and some are scratch resistant, being a family man myself with a dog too I have quickstep laminate running through my ground floor with a dpm sheeting and fibreboards underneath to keep the heat in."

"I would say LVT is most family friendly, as it's waterproof and durable."

"you would be best with a water resistant laminate flooring or LVT ,maybe carpet in bedrooms maybe even as part of a area around a corner sofa with laminate where you walk in so no shoes on the carpet avoid vinyl sheet"
