Extension design for back of house

The back of my house doesn't get a lot of sun. What would you recommend we put into extension design to make sure it isn't too dark?

"I would suggest that this will not add value to your home. The costs would involve laborious planning applications and other stresses and disruption often experienced when doing work of this nature.

I would be able to advise more usefully if I could see the house and garden and to suggest some alternatives that do require planning, have modular or robust kit form extensions that will add value and look aesthetically pleasing"

"Full width sliding doors and sky lights would allow more day light penetration."

"Hi,
If you’re doing a single storey extension you could look to include a sky light, in the form of a roof lantern/sky pod/ velux style roof windows.

Hope this helps.

I can provide planning drawings if required.
