"Hi, very much depends on which skip company you use but most will allow for both those items I would suggest a 6 yard skip but ensure that it’s a level load and you will be completely fine."

"Yes, while most materials are accepted, the framing material dictates how the waste is processed"

"Yes, in most cases old windows and doors can go into a skip, but it does depend on the materials and your skip provider’s rules.
• uPVC windows and doors – Usually accepted in a mixed waste skip.
• Timber doors and frames – Generally fine in a standard builders skip.
• Aluminium frames – Can go in a skip, although metal can often be recycled separately.
• Glass – This is where it varies. Some skip companies allow small amounts of glass, but large quantities (especially double glazing units) may be restricted or charged separately.

If the windows are double glazed, some providers treat sealed units differently due to processing requirements.

It’s always best to check with your skip hire company beforehand, as acceptance policies can vary. If you’re having new windows installed, many installers will also include removal and disposal within their quote.

When disposing of glass, ensure it’s handled safely to prevent injury."
