Do I need a special Radiator paint

I have painted my kitchen using Dulux kitchen emulsion and need to paint the radiator the same colour. Do I need to buy a special paint as we rarely have the radiator on a high setting?

"I always use standard metal paint, either silk or satin but never gloss as it yellows and peels over time. Dulux wood and metal paint is great for radiators, ive never had a problem with it."

"Yes, some lower cost paints could chip and peel over time, but most good quality emulsion paints can be used to paint your radiators. You just need to be sure you cover it over with a clear radiator overcoat after you've applied the emulsion."

"Use paint formulated for metal surfaces,if your radiator is non-functioning. A working radiator should be covered with paint that can withstand high temperatures, such as Premium Décor® high-heat aerosol enamel or non-aerosol oil-based, high-heat enamel."

"You could undercoat and gloss it, but really enamel paint is best"
