Do I need a chimney to install a log burner?

House is newbuild with no chimney. Want to replace electric fire with a log burner but need to know if its possible without a chimney?

"Yes this is possible with a hole drill from the inside to the outside and pipework going through and up the side of the house."

"We would locate the fire in a suitable location and sit on a slate hearth for example and take the flue outside and up the outside wall"
