Do block paved driveways need drainage?

Do block paved driveways need a drainage system when they're installed or does rainwater soak through the blocks?

"By law if the drive runs away onto the road you should have drainage at the front of the drive. Then of it falls towards the building you will need drainage also"

"Is your driveway on a slope ? If so drainage would be a good move as long as you keep it in to storm water. Not sewer."

"Personally I’d put channel drainage around the building if water runs towards it again if water runs out towards road I’d channel the front aswell into a soakaway"

"It all depends on levels, normally you would install aco channels somewhere depending on fall's on drive."

"Yes 90% of driveways do require an acco drain.also in some counties it is a legal requirement to have drainage"
