Block paving repair cost

a few of the blocks on our drive have sunk where the car sits and weeds are coming through. can they be lifted and relaid without redoing the whole drivway, and what would that cost

Sunk blocks is a common problem on brick pav d drives,  generally they can be lifted and delayed,  no need to lift the full drive way depending on the size of the area,   prices will vary a lot depending on size of area and how far they have sunk

Hi.
Yes they can.  The driveway would probably need pressure washing and re sanding to remove weeds ,then the sunken blocks lifted and relayed.

Price for average size driveway cleaning and resend is £200.00

Price for lift and relay is £45.00 per M2.

Hi sound like sub base has fail you would take block up and put fresh taram (weed control) under mot hardcore should be able to re use hardcore and blocks so might need top up hard core and new sand.

hey your looking at a cost of around £500- £1000 depending how large the area is that has sunk and if any new materials are required.

Yes this can be done , u cannot really give a price due to i would need to view the job in person and u would would need to take alot of factors into the job including why the block paving has sucken , is this because of a burst pipe , or ground movement or poor preparation from previous contractor.  But based on a simple lift and left u would be looking at around £85 to £110 per sqm

Yes, they can be lifted and relaid locally, without needing to redo the entire driveway.

Yes, if it’s only a few areas they can usually be lifted and relaid without doing the whole driveway. The sunken areas would need lifting, the base checked and made good, then the existing blocks relaid and re-sanded. Cost really depends on the size of the affected area and what’s caused the sinking, so difficult to price without seeing it.

Yes, they could be re-lifted and put back down in a dry mix and compacted down
