Do blacksmiths shape iron?

Is it a blacksmith that I need to shape some bits of iron for me? Are there still plenty of blacksmiths operating?

"Yes they do, although old iron can be brittle, and yes they are still operating"

"Yes blacksmiths shape iron, but it's called forging, they are usually used for bespoke work or where antique items need repairing to how they were originally made, a good blacksmith will probably not come cheap as they are few and far between now, but out of interest, what is it that you need to be shaped?"
