DIY drain unblocking

Is there any harm in hiring rods and unblocking a drain myself?

"There isn’t any harm. At all but you do run the risk with diy rods braking and getting stuck but this would be totally down to yourself.

"Rods can come undone in drains and don’t always fully unblock the drain they usually just temporarily move the blockage down the line"

"Some drainage can be rectified easily. But in many cases DIY can lead to further problems. So I would advise seeking professional help.

"Their is a possibility of the rods unscrewing and getting caught in the drain, we can unblock it and put a camera through the drain to see why the drain is blocking up."
