    Dishwasher water not heating up

    Kitchen Fitters

I feel like the water in my dishwasher isn't heating up correctly. Do you know why this might be and can it be fixed DIY?

"If you have your dishwasher connected to the cold water supply then it's highly likely that a faulty heating element or thermostat are the cause of the water not heating. If you're connecting to hot then it's worth checking the water supply to check that there is actually an issue with the dishwasher and not elsewhere."

"The users guide that comes with the dishwasher usually has a fault check list if you can’t find it I’m sure Google will help."

"This would be an internal or element issue . As your supply will come from the cold water supply so if you think no hot water is being created then it's a faulty dishwasher"

"Make sure the power is isolated before opening, the water heaters normally have a thermal cutoff switch on them that sometimes can be reset but be careful."
