"The Difference Between Kitchen and Bathroom Paint:

The primary difference is the environment they are designed for: bathroom paint is formulated with antimicrobial additives to resist high humidity, steam, and mold growth, while kitchen paint is designed for high "scrubbability" to withstand grease stains, heat, and frequent cleaning with detergents. Consequently, bathrooms usually require water-shedding finishes (like Semi-Gloss), whereas kitchens require grease-resistant, durable finishes (like Satin or Semi-Gloss)."
