Damaged waterproofing - can it be repaired?

Hi. We are renovating our bathroom with a tiled walk in shower but the tiler has placed the drain totally crooked. He now tried to remove and change it but damaged the waterproofing during this process. Can this be fixed in just the area where it got damaged or do we need to remove all tiles (floor and up the wall) and replace it entirely? What is the best solution please? 🙁

"Unfortunately if the enough of the tiles can not be removed around the drain
Without damaging the waterproof membrane
To re position the drain
Then you will need to replace the whole wet room floor to ensure a water tight floor"

"Depending on the original type of waterproofing applied, I would purchase the mapie wps waterproof kit from screwfix and ‘paint’ the damaged area with it.. it is a rubberised paint so will dry fully waterproof.
Hope this helps"

"Hi, It is possible to repair the damaged area with a liquid tanking sealer which is brushed on. More than one coat may be required and it must be left to dry fully before refitting the drain. Good luck !"

"The area can be patched if you use a water proof adhesive, cut a square and stick directly over but make sure the glue is evenly spread and allow to dry before replacing tiles."

"Yes can be repaired as long as he uses right staff, like Mapei guard, or tanking kit.
We done it in past and never had a problem .
