Cost of drive and patio paving

Would there be any difference in total cost if we have our drive and patio paved at the same time or the drive first and patio at a later date? Just trying to work out which is best for our budget.

"The job would cost more if you have them both done at the same time as you would have to pay more labour days plus more materials it would be cheaper to have them done at separate timez"

"The total cost of paving your drive and patio may be affected by whether you have them paved at the same time or at different times. Here are a few factors to consider:

Economy of scale: If you have both your drive and patio paved at the same time, the paving contractor may be able to offer you a better price since they are already on site with their equipment and crew. This could result in a lower total cost for both projects.

Material costs: The cost of materials, such as the pavers and base materials, may increase over time due to inflation or changes in availability. If you wait to pave your patio at a later date, you may end up paying more for materials than if you had paved both areas at the same time.

Labor costs: Labor costs may increase over time, which could result in a higher total cost if you wait to have your patio paved at a later date.

Convenience: If you have both your drive and patio paved at the same time, you can avoid the inconvenience of having construction work done on your property twice.

Overall, while there may be some cost savings if you have both your drive and patio paved at the same time, it is best to consult with a paving contractor to get an accurate estimate of the total cost of each scenario. They can also provide advice on the best approach based on your specific circumstances and budget."
