"Hi Lou
It is usually recommended that you clean your fridge once every three months or your freezer once every year to prevent any bacteria. However, I and most of my clients would do this a lot more frequently."

"A fridge should be cleaned every 3-4 months, thoroughly removing food items, shelves, and drawers. The interior should be cleaned with mild detergent and warm water or vinegar and water. The freezer should be cleaned twice a year, defrosting and cleaning if frost occurs. The interior can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap. Monthly, inspect and discard expired items to prevent odors, mold, and bacteria, ensuring efficiency and cleanliness."

"I clean my refrigerator every 3 to 4 months. This includes wiping down shelves, drawers, and doors, and removing any expired food. Clean spills immediately to prevent stains and bacteria growth.
I usually Clean the freezer every 6 months or as needed if I notice frost buildup or freezer burn. Defrost the freezer if ice buildup is noticeable, and wipe it down with a mild detergent."
