Cleaners and Covid

Given the pandemic, if I had a cleaner coming by but I had the sniffles or a possible symptom of Covid, would I be expected to cancel and would the usual late cancelation fee (if applicable) still apply?

"Hi Jenny,

I would think it depends on the Cleaning service you're using. Some may be fine with sniffles or possible covid symptoms and others would probably expect you to cancel or reschedule. A late cancellation fee would be a bit harsh given the current times although some would probably charge unless the appointment was changed to another date.

Regards
Steve"

"Yes, you should cancel the cleaner because if you have covid you could spread it to the cleaner."

"If late would be added and if you stayed in one room while cleaners where in it'd be ok and they would have masks on"

"We don't send anyone for work with covid symptoms
Every week they do the covid test
And sneezing, coughing or getting a cold does not precisely mean that the person has covid symptoms, sometimes an allergy due to the cold, or dust."

"Yes, you should cancel and if you give enough notice I wouldn't charge a cancellation fee"

"Hi thanks for your question, we would expect our clients to inform us if they were sick. We'd expect a covid clear test before our cleaners went in. We wouldn't charge for a missed clean due to any covid issues."

"Yes definitely because the risk to be in contact with them it's very dangerous and contagious"

"I believe if you have been double vaccinated and you did a flow test soon as you had symptoms with a negative result, the cleaner can work without problem. Cleaners need always to make sure they use the correct PPE as well, keeping them protected all the time, so no cancellation is involved, no fee applied and your house gets cleaned"
