Ceiling cracks

Who do you call to look at ceiling cracks? Is this something a plasterer sorts or do I need a builder?

a plasterer will plaster the ceiling but the builder will tell you the problem so you really need a company like ours which takes care of both

depending of the situation if the cracks are biger than ususal my will need the whole area to be repalstered , if there are small cracks will need just making good a handyman can sort this out

Plasterer should know how to fix this but if its an underlying issue with framing then it would be advisable to first get a carpenter to create a sound frame to which  plasterboard  can be screwed to.

Usually this can be dealt with by a plasterer but it depends on the severity of the cracks especially if combined with a sagging of the ceiling.

If you just want them filled and tidied up, call a plasterer.
	•	If you’re unsure about the cause, or they look significant (wide, long, or worsening), start with a builder who can check if there’s an underlying problem.

If they are deep and the area is more than fifty square centimeters, plaster work. If it is minor, the painter can repair it.

You will need a plasterer round, we tend to tape up the cracks and skin back over the ceiling, 
-rip the ceiling down board it all again or
- over board the whole ceiling and skim the ceiling 
All options will solve the problem 
Just depending on the mess you want and your budget
