Caustic soda to unclog drain

My drain is a bit clogged. Is caustic soda a good solution to get it draining properly from my kitchen sink?

Hi,if is there already scale bulding, or how we call (fat) the caustic soda probaly will make wors.
Also depend of the pipework, becarful incase the pipe get burn.
Descale with a profesional machine,should be the best solutions for a long time result.

Try it , what have you got to lose ! You’d probably be better getting some marigolds and getting your hand in and cleaning it out as it’s probably greased up!

I would rather recommend you get a proper drain cleaner  because of the chemicals going back into the drain 
Caustic soda can unblock drains but some have different chemical build ups
