At what point should I remove the main water line for my property? How can I tell when this is needed?
We have a cylinder that can run on electric but also gets heated when the oil burner heats the house. However, our shower is electric that means we heat up the water for the shower even if the cylinder is full of hot water. Could a set-up work where a thermostatic mixer tap would get cold and hot water, mix it to say 40C (if there is hot water in the cylinder) and this would feed the electric shower? If the water that come in is warm enough already, it would not need to heat it (or just a little) if it come in cold, since there is no hot water in the cylinder, it would just work as an electric shower and heat the water. I could fit the mixer tap in the hot press right the opposite side of the wall to the shower.
I would like to have a mixer tap and new sink fitted in my kitchen. How long might it take a plumber to perform this work?
I have five drops of water coming from my ceiling unsure if it’s a leaking overflow pipe or a roof leak?
How much does it cost to empty the cylinder from the crystals and flush through the system? Thanks
I have an iron main water pipe serving our property but flats have been built over the pipe so the pipe is situated under our neighbours drive way. Bristol water have said we can cap the iron pipe off and divert it up into our property and connect it to an internal stop tap. The pipe would come out of the ground and would need a white external box connected to it to then run through our home. It’s the first time I’ve ever have come across this issue within thesny years of living in my property the work to replace a pipe under a concrete slab foundation doesn’t sound cheap. What are my options was Bristol water safe to say this obviously they know their stuff more than me. I’m neurodivergent and I am highly anxious about the repairs and cost I can’t sleep at night the noise is triggering I keep thinking the worse can someone please reply
We live in a very hard water area and have seen water softeners advertised online. Are they worth the money and are they easy to install and maintain?
Why is the swivel spout leaky on my kitchen tap and how can I fix it?
Can a plumber fit an electric shower? Or do I need to hire an electrician as well?
Hi. Only a small quantity of water is flowing via my basin tap. Why is this and how do I fix it (if I can fix it DIY of course)?
