Would it be possible to remove some old silicone around the edges of my skirting boards, and then replace it with grout? I had the a slate floor laid down last year, but unfortunately, the sealant has started to peal away from the skirting board. I need it removing completely in order to repaint the skirting board and tidy up the edges with grout. The grout that was used when laying down the floor was London grey. I can supply the grout if that helps. I require this silicone to be removed, as it does not look right. Thanks, Shane

Hi there We have a sloping floor in a room on the first floor of our 1900's house in London, size is roughly 3.5 x 3.5m (13m2). It slopes about 3 inches from one side down to the other side. The current joists (underneath the laminate we took off) are in good condition. Can anyone suggest how much it would very approximately cost to level the room and put sheets of plywood over the joists? (we will add engineered wood flooring later on top). And how long it would take with how many people? thanks
