    One contractor or multiple specialists

Our bathroom refurbishment will include removing the ceiling to create a vaulted single pitch. Am I better getting a builder, or would a bathroom specialist be able to do (or subcontract) the building and plastering elements please?

Toilets out of use during a bathroom fitting

When having a new bathroom fitted, will the toilets in my home be out of use until the work is complete? Will it only apply to one floor for example? I am just thinking about how the pipework could be affected by the installation work and what exactly will be involved. Thanks for your time!

    Porcelain Bathroom Tiles

I would like to re-tile my bathroom with porcelain tiles on both the floor and wall. The tiles are 60x30cm. Currently, I have ceramic tiles on the walls. I have been told that if I remove the current tiles the plasterboard will need to be replaced, which is fine. However, today I was told that I cannot hang porcelain tiles directly onto plasterboard and I need to attach a Cement Backboard (sold by Topptiles) to the plasterboard and then hang the wall tiles. Is this correct?

    How to use thick tiles?

I brought bathroom floor tiles 600x600 with a 9.5mm thickness for my bathroom which needs 7 box of tiles. My builder states it is too thick to work with. However I have seen other bathrooms install these tiles perfectly. Is this true or should I find another builder?

    Bathroom conversion

Hi I have a small toilet and sink next to a small bedroom. The bathroom is downstairs. How much would it roughly cost if possible to move the bath and shower into the bedroom space....knocking down the wall in between to make a big bathroom. If that makes sense
