Can you use vinegar to clean leather? If not, what would you recommend?

"Hi Harry, although not recommended for constant use due to its high PH value, for certain types of marks this can be effective. I would suggest that you dilute if you are going to use as a cleaner for leather.

I would recommend a specialist natural cleaner however these can be expensive, there are other household brands but the problem is their products are generally too strong and the perfume in them can cause further damage over time.

Often a mild soap and warm water is the most effective cleaner."

"I would not use vinegar on leather as it’s a a in-stringent and it may dry up the leather. Use some dove soap and a damp cloth this will clean the leather and keep it nice and soft"

"Apparently it can work wonders on leather! Vinegar is a multipurpose cleaning tool.. Google it to see how to use it but believe its with water."

"Vinegar is generally not recommended for cleaning leather because it can be too harsh and acidic, potentially causing damage or discoloration to the leather surface."

"I would attempt a small patch at the back of the sofa after checking the label, this will show you how the sofa reacts to the products used. (IF still not sure after reading the label)

Another alternative is pure leather cleaner, once you've got a spray it will last you months. Just apply to a microfiber cloth and wipe down areas."

"This may sound surprising, but vinegar can work wonders on leather. If the stain is older, tougher, and the leather is more durable, grab a cleaning cloth and dampen it thoroughly with white vinegar, then gently rub the stained area."
