Can I turn water off and leave combi boiler on?

Is this OK to do if I need to while doing other work, or do I have to shut everything off including the boiler

You’re heating will work, but you will not have hot water

Yes, you can turn off the main water supply (stopcock) and leave your combi boiler on to provide central heating.  However, do not run hot water taps while the mains are off, and consider switching the boiler to "heating only" . If you run hot taps you can damage boiler.

The combination Boiler will still work for central heating, but obviously if there's no cold water going into it, you won't be able to get hot water out of it

We would normally just turn the power off to the boiler, ensuring no fault goats come up
Then turn the water back on and test the central heating and hot water both working

Yes, you can leave the boiler on there is no effect to the boiler

You can turn the hot off on the mains valve underneath and you should be good.
