Can a power flush damage pipes?

I’ve been advised to get my heating system power flushed but I’m worried it could damage old pipes?

"Short answer: a properly done power flush should NOT damage pipes — even older ones.
But your concern is reasonable, because when problems do happen, it’s usually due to the condition of the system or poor practice, not the flushing itself."

"There is a very small chance but highly unlikely. Always advised customers that its possible but i have not had it happen to me in eighteen years i have been doing plumbing and heating."
