Are built-in fridges expensive? What are their pros (aside from saving space) and their cons?

"They don’t save space. If anything, you lose space. A 600wide freestanding appliance will have a larger internal capacity than an équivalant size integrated appliance. They do however give a superior look to a kitchen"

"Pros for built in fridge is obviously as you mentioned a space saver, but also good for making the kitchen design consistent throughout.

Cons sometimes it can be a difficult task to remove or replace the door covering."

"A Built in Fridge is pretty much the same as a stand-alone, but instead you have to pay for the Fridge and the cabinet. If the Fridge breaks down, you need to buy the same size every time. If a stand-alone fridge breaks down, you can buy any fridge that fits into the space."

"As with all appliances they are as cheap or expensive as you wish to spend. Integrated give a better cosmetic finish, but not necessarily space saving as you still require space for a fridge."

"Main pro is aspherics,, built-in looks good with the rest of the kitchen units.. Main con is it requires a certain level of expertise to remove when the fridge/freezer goes bad"

"Built-fridges are more expensive because of the door attached, as Londg as they are fitted correctly with vents at the bottom and air flow at the back.
I fitted an American free standing type fridge/freezer and then fitted the kitchen around it which looks like it’s built in."

"Hi Karen

Pros - they are hidden in choice of your kitchen enclosed so no space bearing or bulky appliances in your space you have left in your kitchen

Cons - can become expensive if require a certain size fridge I.e if you jave a family of 5+ which isn't that uncommon these days as mostly these enclosed fridge can be quiet slender compared to the offerd fridges we have available these days to purchase"
