"Good Afternoon,

I would recommend box hedging for low hedges or borders. This species of plant is native, shade tolerant and suitable for most soil types and sites other than wet or windy. Box hedging is a versatile, classic hedge that is favoured by gardeners for its dense and leafy appearance.

"Several different types from straightforward "dividing" hedge such as a box., or perhaps Cotoneaster (red berries), Euonymus (slight fragrance) or hebe. Best to consult with local "proper" gardeners or nurseries to establish the suitability of your local soils, Different composts could be added but might need topping up from time to time."

"Box hedging or Buxus sempervirens as it's also referred to as, is the ideal species for formal, low hedges or borders, as well as being a classic topiary plant"
