Best type of blinds for a home office

I work from home and need to reduce screen glare without losing too much daylight. What type of blind works best for a south-facing home office window?

"It would be a horizontal blind you would need for that specification"

"Personally, I would go for a soft, transparent vail. This would reduce glare rather blinds would let slithers of light on to the screen"

This is not an advertisement...it is very good and regulates the lighting in the room."

"Id recommend Solar Shades (The Professional's Choice)

These are arguably the best option for a home office. They are made from a mesh fabric designed specifically to block UV rays and glare while maintaining your view of the outside.

The "Openness" Factor: They come in different percentages (1%, 3%, 5%, or 10%). For a south-facing window, a 3% or 5% openness is the "sweet spot"—it cuts the glare enough to see your screen but keeps the room bright."

"The best blinds for an office are Venetian blinds or roller blinds, as they perfectly balance privacy, durability, and essential glare reduction. The ideal choice depends on your space's layout"

"For a south-facing home office, use solar shades with 3-5% openness. They cut screen glare, block 99% of UV, and reduce heat while keeping daylight and your view. Cellular shades are great for insulation and soft light. Avoid sheer fabrics behind you on calls and blackout blinds that kill natural light. Aluminum blinds cause striping glare. Solar shades are the best all-rounder."

"For a south-facing window in a home office, solar roller blinds with an openness factor of 3-5% (Solar Shades) or day-night blinds (Zebra Blinds) are best. These options effectively diffuse direct sunlight, eliminating glare on the monitor, while still allowing natural light and views."

"Best blinds are the thermal roller blinds or solar shades as these cut glare and heat without making the room feel like a cave"
