Best paint for bathroom tiles?

Hello,

I'm wanting to update my bathroom with a limited budget. I cannot afford to re-tile so am considering painting the tiles.

There are so many conflicting reviews online that I'm going round in circles!

Is there a paint for bathroom tiles that you would recommend? Specifically I'm looking for a cream/beige matte finish.

The tiles are around the window, toilet, sink, and bath.

Thank you :)

"Dulux and ronseal do a good tile paint. Out of the two I think the ronseal one is far superior.
Good luck"

"Yes I would personally recommend looking in the deluxe or Leyland ranges as shop brought own brand tile paint tends to chip away very easily"

"Hello Stephanie!

You can do this its not a problem.

You must first use a special epoxy paint on the first coat because the tiles are very shiny this is why I recommend this paint. This paint is made to stick to tile. Also well ventilated area and wearing protective gear to protect your skin. Go to the nearest paint store for supplies if you are doing it yourself.

Kind regards,
Angelo"

"Hi
I specialise in painting kitchen cabinets, as part of my service we are often required to paint the tiled splashback areas.
With the right preparation and products you can successfully paint your tiles with a very durable finish.

Be sure to thoroughly de-grease the surface to ensure adhesion.
There are two extremely durable products that i would recommend.

TIKKURILLA OTEX AKVA PRIMER
TIKKURILLA HELME (Matt, Satin or Gloss )
or
Zinsser Bin Primer
Zinsser All coat (Matt, Satin or Gloss)

You will need to prime the surface and follow with 2 coats of the chosen finish. You can achieve a strong, durable finish with either of these products.

Hope this helps"

"Hello . I do not recommend you to paint the tiles!!! But there are ceramic paints (tiles, tiles, pots) but I cannot give you a long-term guarantee considering that you use it in the bathroom where there is a lot of humidity. I will recommend a paint from the Johnstones Revive brand and it is called tile paint"

"Msp by bedec, rabarts sell it, comes in different sheen's. I'd also recommend going over it in a clear matt varnish for more durability."

"No. there are some special paint available for tiles but as my work of experience say that actually does not stay for long time due packed bathroom water vapour. Better way to change the tiles in your law budget price which is available market."
